Oil

When using oils one can create paintings that can last for many months. As long as you are using oil, making sure your artwork is complete in one sitting is not necessary.  Oil painting takes very long to dry and is the media of choice when artists paint portraits, environments, or abstract subject matter. Oil painting can give photographic and realistic representations of the subject matter at hand and was used by many master artists of the past.
