As a child I was brought up with a Christian belief always asking, “how can I become better each day?” I wasn’t any Angel but life’s lessons have given me a true road out of unhappiness. On this new path I explore my mind, heart, and soul, and begin to figure out who i am and what my purpose in life is. This journey has many difficult roads to travel but a higher level of happiness can be met by all of us. My art has lifted me from depression, taken me to faraway places, helped me get close to the deceased, find new friends, and allowed me to see the face of Christ.
The cathedral shown in this photograph is a place I go to sit in silence and pray. The architecture, stained glass windows, sculptures, candles, and scriptures give me a feeling of aspiration. I buried my Father here and have felt the transformation from life to death, and It can come at any moment. I love my Father, He has taught me respect, honor, hard work, to get up, and a desire to life life to the fullest. He always said to me, “dream big and believe in yourself.” I am a Man to this day because of my family and this Love.
