The 6000 square foot Summit Avenue mansion was financed and built by J. D. Lovingston in 1906. This majestic and inspiring medieval art atelier began when Artist J.G.Vysekel came to Saint Paul from Europe in 1907 and studied at this premier art school on historic Summit Hill. The owner commissioned him to create authentic paintings, drawings, and stained glass in this exquisite home and studio. This Atelier is considered a superior studio for the training of creativity. The Atelier is home to master artist Michael R. Danielson a professional designer, writer, and entrepreneur working with artists and students to train them in the highest principles of art and design.
